National 

National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation
Overlooks 5 different funding opportunities for any Aboriginal student pursuing post secondary studies. For social work students, the most applicable application will be for the general Post Secondary Education (PSE) awards. Lots of funding opportunity available here, always try & apply! These bursaries and scholarships are open to all Aboriginal students of Canada (status & non-status First Nations, Metis, Inuit)

Foundation for the Advancement of Aboriginal Youth
Open to Aboriginal Students of Canada (status & non-status First Nations, Metis, Inuit) in any discipline. $2,500 scholarship available to post-secondary student(s).

Native Women's Association of Canada (NWAC) Helen Bassett Commemorative Student Award
Open to up to 4 Aboriginal women in Canada who are 30 years of age or younger in the amount of $1,000.

Heroes of our Time Scholarships- Assembly of First Nations
Open to First Nations students in Canada. There are 8 awards, one of which is specific to a First Nations student in social work! The value is $2,000.  *note this link will need to be updated later as it currently portrays past deadline for 2011. Looks like the next call out will occur in the Summer for the 2012 awards*

Indigenous Scholarship Program - Holiday Inn Vancouver Downtown
Open to any Indigenous student in Canada pursuing post secondary studies. The deadline for this award is open and ongoing! And the value is $2,000.

Treaty 6, 7, 8, and Metis Students of Alberta

Altalink Aboriginal Scholarships
Open to any Aboriginal students currently enrolled in Post-Secondary studies who are from Treaty 6, 7, or 8 areas, as well to Metis students of Alberta. Value is $2,000
